The Delay In Dust Deletion

Soooo the air duct cleaners were on time today, BUT due to the poor design of the utility area in this 45 year old house...they did not have enough room to access both the air lines...fail.

I was oh so looking forward to breathing normally and not thinking about all the dust, bug feces, and god knows what else I am constantly inhaling. But all good things come to those who wait...I guess. We were informed that a different route may have to be taken - perhaps cutting into the ceiling or doing a less effective but still better-than-nothing cleaning of the vents and not the mainline. We shall see - we are awaiting the next phone call.

BUT there is other exciting news that I have not shared yet. I have learned once again that going to a dealership to "look at cars" is indeed a dangerous thing. Especially when you come to not like your current car and all you can think of is the continual depreciation in value that is taking place. Do not get me wrong - Honda is fantastic! Great gas mileage, quality materials, sporty looks...but when you buy the same car twice in a row in different model years and not the much has changed: you have no bluetooth, no nav features, no heated seats...well ok so maybe I did want a more luxurious vehicle...

So what better idea than to stay in the family I know and love but move on to better options...yes indeed I found myself at the Acura dealer. The whole experience was different. Everyone at the dealer had fancy accents from all around the world and offered to show you the "lounge" with ample refreshments. I felt like I was in Beverly Hills for a few hours :) When our sales person offered us a test drive I should have known it was all over and my Honda was not leaving this lot....

The test-drive and acceptable appraisal of my Honda was all it took. Before I knew it we were driving away in a brand new vehicle with all the options I had desired. There are a few minor downsides (but I have decided that they can be over-looked) I now must buy ultimate/premium gas, I do not get as good of gas mileage...BUT I can speed off from a dead stop and not hold up traffic for miles on end, my rear will be toasty in the winter months, and the sound system IS TO DIE FOR!

All in all I am a happy Acura owner - now just to get rid of this dust material in the near future...
